Next Decides to Close Online Store to Ensure Works Health Amid COVID – 19 Fears

Next UK have today closed their online operations in response to fears and uncertainty from staff in the warehouses and distribution chain. While an understandable response to the COVID-19 uncertainty it will put pressure on other retailers to follow suit, just at the time when many are already struggling with added financial pressure.

While many retailers are ramping up their online activities in response to having to close their stores across most of Europe and much of Asia this is an added concern for many. It’s likely that Next won’t be the last to feel the need to close even their online operations.
